In late May I coughed up bright red blood, I contacted my surgery, Ochill practice. I got an appointment with the practice nurse on the same day. She sent me for an x-ray, I was contacted the next day to let me know that there was a shadow in my right lung.
I was contacted by Forth Valley Royal Hospital, to attend a CT, scan. On meeting with the doctor to assess the scan, it showed that I had a tumour in my upper right lung and two lymph nodes were cancerous.
I have gone through immunotherapy and chemotherapy treatments which finished in October. I am waiting for my surgery date at The Golden Jubilee Hospital. I would just like to say that the treatment and care I have received from all the staff I have interacted with, have been wonderful and professional, in my opinion I could not fault the service I have received from the NHS.
