My new born baby was taken to the NICU. Paediatric Drs Paul & Nicole was made aware by the Midwives that my little boy needed to be reviewed as he was still breathing very fast despite treatment earlier that day. Paul and Nicole arrived promptly to review my baby, they were very calm and efficient and I knew straight away my baby was in safe hands.
They decided to transfer him to the NICU, where closer monitoring and oxygen therapy was required. On arrival to the NICU to see our baby Nurse Aoife gave us an update. she explained everything in great detail with a lovely manner and we instantly felt at ease.
As you can imagine it’s a stressful experience when your baby isn’t well but I can safely say all the staff in the NICU were amazing. There were many nurses caring for our boy and each and every one of them always greeted us with a smile & always on hand to give us any updates we required.
The Neonatal Consultant Dr Armstrong and his team were exceptional and we couldn’t thank you all enough for what you did for us. Thankfully after a few days our little boy recovered well.
