"Reception and xray staff"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Xray and Scans

(as the patient),

Checked in for xray and Hazel let me know i have a scan appointment in Nov. I did know about this, apparently booked in Oct but i still don't have a letter meaning I could have missed the appointment. Thanks to her diligence I now know.

Xray was very quick, raken right away. All polite and friendly.

Good afternoon taurusxk54. Thank you for alerting us that you have not received your letter yet for your appointment in November. Our booking office will appoint patients 3 weeks in advance and send out appointment letters same day. Depending on the service from Royal Mail, it's our experience that the letters can take 1 or 2 days, or up to a few weeks to arrive, so our apologies if you have not received this yet.

We also send out text reminders to patients a week or so ahead of their Imaging appointment which gives patients the opportunity to contact us to let us know if the appointment is unsuitable or to discuss any issues there may be in more detail. I would have hoped if you did not receive your letter in time, then you would have got (or will get) a text with your appointment details.

I would need further details to look into your particular case, it may have been that the booking office just appointed you in the few days prior to you attending for your x-ray. If you e-mail me direct with your name, address & date of birth, then I can look into this further for you if required. Kind regards

Dot (dot.elliot@nhs.scot)
