"Recent hospital stay Queen Elizabeth university hospital Glasgow"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

My son recently broke his neck in a freak rugby accident and was brought in by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Glasgow. Excellent care from the ambulance team, A&E staff and the week long stay in ward 10c. The care compassion and kindness shown to our son as well the wider family was above and beyond. We can’t thank the staff enough for all they did. The staff provided reassurance and support to us all. Thank you all so much!

Hello Morjet22,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for taking the time to express such kind words. I’m responding on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

I’m delighted to hear that our ambulance team was able to provide excellent care and reassurance during such a frightening and unexpected situation. Your comments about their compassion and support will mean a great deal to them and it’s wonderful to know that their efforts helped make a difficult time a little easier for you and your family.

They’ll really appreciate you sending these kind comments in. If you’d like us to share your message directly with the crew, please send a few details to sas.feedback@nhs.scot so we can match it to the call. We’d need the name, date, time and address of the call out. It would also help if you include your Care Opinion username so we can let the crew know your story came from you.

Thank you again for taking the time to write such a thoughtful post. We wish your son a smooth and speedy recovery.

Warm wishes,
Marie
