"Midwifery and neonatal care"

I cannot praise the midwives and nurses in NHS Fife enough. 

I have had Kate as my community midwife through both of my pregnancies and she has always been professional, caring and informative. 

At the Victoria hospital, in June 2023 Louise delivered our son and she was so reassuring and compassionate throughout my labour. She had clearly read my birth plan and did everything she could to ensure things went the way we wanted them to. 

In October 2025, Bethany and Nadine (I think - hope I’ve remembered correctly) delivered our baby girl. Again, they were fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for better care and my birth plan was respected. 

We unfortunately had a stay in the SCBU. While this was not what we expected, the nursing staff went above and beyond to care for our daughter. Kirsty, Rachel and Chloe are particularly memorable. They made me a card with my daughter’s footprints on for my birthday and it’s something I’ll cherish forever.
