My husband was admitted to Ward 4F recently, ahead of surgery scheduled later in the week. From the moment we arrived, we were met with kindness — the male nurse who admitted us was exceptionally compassionate and set the tone for what became a truly reassuring experience.
Although we had a few blips on the evening of surgery, once I spoke with the nurse in charge, everything was quickly and respectfully resolved. Ally, the nurse in charge, was outstanding. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for her job shone through every interaction. She made a difficult time feel that bit more bearable.
Every member of staff we encountered was wonderful. Special thanks to Debbie and Charles, who served meals with such cheer and care, and to nurses Jessica, Charlotte, Chelsea, Joycey, and Bibin (who I believe discharged him, he was very very kind and helpful) the rest were equally as good but I can’t remember their names. One who looked after him a few days with dark hair. She was amazing too! Their care was just as exceptional.
Walking into the ward, you could feel a sense of warmth and genuine compassion. The doctors were equally kind — one in particular, a young woman in pink scrubs (possibly Claire), stood out for her empathy and attentiveness.
It’s been a harrowing three weeks for our family, but the atmosphere in Ward 4F brought comfort. I was present the morning of my husbands surgery and watched the team gently support patients through breakfast and morning routines. Their interactions with one another and with patients were full of dignity and care.
Even in the most intimate tasks, the staff showed unwavering professionalism and respect. We’ve spent a lot of time in hospitals recently, and without question, this ward has been the best by far.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone in Ward 4F — especially those in Bay C. Your kindness made all the difference.
His surgeon was amazing too, I will leave a different review for him. His consultants care was unbelievable.
"A heartfelt thank you"
