"Staff going above & beyond their duties"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Acute Assessment Unit (AAU)

(as a relative),

I know how hard the staff work & that they are trying there very very best & the nurses were so lovely to me & my mum.

Earlier in the day a kind bank HCSW with hair to his shoulders kindly come around offering us all a cold drink & a sandwich & tea or coffee & I though this was very good & very thoughtful that during such a busy time that they were still managing to tend to the patients waiting to be seen.

It had been a long night as we were waiting 11+ hours & were beginning to get a little cold & tired.

I just wanted to acknowledge also how Caring & Attentive the domestic Isabelle was she had dark hair which sat above her shoulders she worked in the A&E/AAU area of Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Firstly she tried to help me work the tea/coffee machine but unfortunately it was out of service & after this, this kind lady went over & above her duties & went to find a HCSW who was also lovely & attentive girl who brought the tea trolly round & gave me, my mum & another wee lady who was sat there longer than us a lovely warm cup of tea.

I just wanted to say what a credit to the NHS Isobel, this boy & girl where & their acts of kindness don’t go unnoticed & I’d like to say a huge thank you & keep being you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. We truly appreciate your kind words and recognition of our hardworking team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

We understand that waiting for care can be difficult, especially during busy periods, and we’re so pleased to hear that our staff made your experience a little more comfortable. It’s wonderful to know that the nurses, our bank Healthcare Support Worker, and Isabelle from the domestic team showed the care, compassion, and dedication we strive to provide to every patient and family member.

Your feedback will be shared with the team – I know they’ll be delighted to hear your lovely comments and to know that their efforts made a difference to you and your mum.

Thank you again for your kindness and for recognising the work of our staff.
