"Cardiac Rehabilitation Team ."

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

I had a heart attack. After being referred to the Rehab Team at the QEUH I enjoyed participating in a Walking Group on a Monday and a Exercise Group on a Tuesday at the Hospital Gym.The biggest thing I took away from both sessions were the shared experience from other people in the group, highlighting the fact your not the only person going through this.Another great thing about it is how the physios make sure you are not getting ahead of yourself and watching your heart rate and breathing.

The Rehab Team also give you great advice on Medication and your Mental Health.

Hello hawkdp86

On behalf of the cardiac rehab team at QEUH I would like to thank you sincerely for taking the time to submit the above feedback to Care Opinion.

It's great to hear that you've enjoyed participating in not only the walking group, but in the exercise classes too. It's really important in recovery from a heart attack to know that you are not alone, and you've highlighted the benefit you've received from working with a group, as well as the good advice and support you've received from the physio team.

I will pass your message on to the team in the gym, who I am sure will be delighted to hear how their care and support have impacted your recovery.

I wish you all the best in your continued recovery.

Best wishes

Anne
