"Fantastic care at the royal childrens"

About: Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Emergency Department Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Paul Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

I would like to sincerely thank the staff at Royal Victoria Children’s Hospital for the exceptional care my teenage son received during a very stressful time. He attended A&E with a concussion, presenting with incoherence and ongoing vomiting. Despite the challenging situation, the staff were all amazing, and I want to especially commend Ashley, Rebecca, and LJ the sister for their kindness, professionalism, and reassurance.

The medical team provided outstanding care, and the nurses demonstrated a level of professionalism and compassion that truly made a difference for us as parents. They kept us informed, reassured us, and showed genuine empathy during a difficult and worrying time.

When my son was admitted onto Paul Ward, a nurse on Anne was particularly warm and caring. She spent time with us during a long night, chatting with my son and making sure we were comfortable and supported. Her kindness and attentiveness meant so much during those difficult hours.

I believe that healthcare staff often go unrecognized and are subject to undue criticism, yet their dedication and compassion are invaluable. To all the nurses and medical staff involved — your kindness and care made a significant difference for us, and I want you to know how much it is appreciated. Thank you for everything you do.
