My son attended the community pharmacist and then his GP following the appearance of a rash. Despite treatment from both, the rash worsened over the next 72 hours and he became unwell, which led us to contact NHS 24. Following this, he was referred to out-of-hours primary care. Although it took around four and a half hours to get an appointment, the care and attention provided by the ANP, Chris, were fantastic.
He took the time to listen to both myself and my son’s concerns and agreed that a different treatment approach was required. I found him to be very knowledgeable, reassuring, and thorough, and he put both of us at ease throughout the consultation.
Thanks to Chris’s attention to detail and person-centred care, my son’s rash is now improving with the correct treatment. I was really impressed with the exceptional care he provided and cannot thank him enough.
"Son's rash worsened and the care provided was fab"
