"Continued support from long covid team"

About: Community Services (Adult Physical Health) / Doncaster Long Covid

(as a service user),

I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't received the help from the long covid team.  I first had covid in August 2020 which developed into long covid. Had very bad fatigue,  burning pains in my head, dizzy spells when walking, problems walking with leg pains, anxiety going through the roof which left me sat in my house crying and afraid to go out my front door. This summer school holidays for the first time in 5 years I've managed to go fishing twice a week with my 10 year old son and made some great memories. I'd like to thank all the covid team for their continued support because I just don't know what I'd do without your help. I'm still not good outdoors and still have problems with my legs and anxiety but this summer has definitely been a massive step forward for me and hopefully I can continue moving forward.

Hi Gary,

Many thanks for taking the time to write about your experience of being under the care of our service.

We really value feedback from our patients and stories like yours also help to inspire and give hope to other people who are living with Long Covid symptoms.

We are so pleased to hear that you have seen some improvements in your symptoms and that this Summer you have been able to go outside and spend time doing your hobby and having this valuable time with your son.

Thank you again

Best Wishes from Karen and the team.
