About: Staffordshire Treatment and Recovery Service - STARS / North Team

(as a service user),

I was drinking and taking drugs to the extreme in which it was taking over my life at times. It was by far the worst time of my life and I could have lost my life on a couple of occasions as a result. Sam from STaRS helped me through these difficult times and I am now a lot better mentally and I feel I have come a long way and I will be forever grateful for that.

Hi LouLov23,

My name is Hanah Brock and I am the Hub Manager for STaRS inclusion in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands.

Firstly, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your story and recovery journey with us. To see how far you have come and the changes that you have made are lovely to hear. You should be really proud of yourself for getting through the difficult times and accessing the support that you needed.

You have maintained great strength throughout your recovery journey and to see and read about this is inspirational to read.

I will make sure that Sam receives this feedback directly as he will also be really please to hear this too.
