I had a traumatic miscarriage and haemorrhage in January this year. I am now 9 months pregnant. I come into the department regularly (sometimes 4 times a week) for scans, etc.
There are summary posters on display in various places that show how many babies were born and other data. One of the statistics is number of stillbirths.
I have realised that I have internalised and agonised over this statistic subconsciously. I now dread looking at the boards in case I accidentally see the new information. Today I did and the rate had gone from 1 to 5.
I appreciate some people would want to know this but I doubt I am the only pregnant person triggered by it and it being randomly displayed makes it difficult to avoid. Could this part maybe be covered by a post-it that people could lift? A trigger warning added? Only shown in designated areas?
