"Frustrating experience"

I’ve had a very poor experience with The Town Surgery in Southall. I registered with this practice earlier this year, yet they still haven’t requested my medical records from my previous GP - something that should have been done automatically as part of the registration process.

I’ve raised this issue several times and was repeatedly told it would be sorted, but nothing was ever done. During a recent appointment, the nurse I saw was both rude and incorrect, insisting that it was my old GP’s responsibility to send the records. This is simply not true and shows a worrying lack of understanding of basic GP procedures.

Because my records weren’t transferred, I was refused a flu vaccination, despite being asthmatic and therefore at higher clinical risk. This left me feeling frustrated, let down, and genuinely concerned about the practice’s duty of care.

I’ve now had to chase both surgeries myself to resolve something that should have been handled months ago. I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and the indifference shown to patient safety.
