(as the patient),

I had 30 sessions of treatment 

Obviously very nervous about getting a mask made but the staff were so understanding and brilliant relaxing me

The actual treatment was hard as having trigeminal neuralgia down all 3 branches which affects the nerves in my face down the left hand side it was very sore so I explained to the staff by putting on the mask will not help any pain but again the staff were so understanding of my circumstances.  They always after the treatment told me how brave I was!! They helped me so much.

It was my birthday on the last day and they gave me a beautiful birthday card with 21 signatures along with individual messages!!! Absolutely made my day. All the staff are 👏 amazing and the receptionist was wonderful too.

Dear anthonyking7, thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who welcomed you to our department.

I can only imagine how you might have felt initially when having the mask fitted and your management of wearing the mask, given your condition, during treatment. I am sure that our Therapeutic Radiographers would have treated you with patience and understanding in order to deliver your treatment as comfortably as possible. Well done to you for completing the 30 treatments.

What better a way to celebrate your final treatment but to have a birthday? I am glad that we were able to share a little bit of it with you. I will pass on your kind words to everyone concerned, thank you, and wish you well for the future.
