"I’m full of admiration for everyone I encountered"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Rapid Assessment and Care Unit (RAC) Crosshouse Hospital / Xrays & Scans

(as the patient),

I recently suffered a heart attack. An ambulance was called for and arrived within an hour.

When I arrived at A&E the service I received was fantastic. I was triaged very quickly, tests were done, including an X-ray. I spoke to a female doctor who was exceptional and very thorough. Following my X-ray, she calmly took me to a ward and explained what had happened. From there I was moved to the acute assessment unit where I remained for 4 days.

I’m full of admiration for everyone I encountered during my time in Crosshouse. Everyone went out of their way to treat me kindly and ensure I was as comfortable as possible.  Thanks again to everyone.
