"An amazing care team"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had a high risk pregnancy with twins. As soon as I was deemed high risk I was given an amazing care team and extra appointments. I was in and out of the MAU most of my pregnancy with symptoms and concerns. Each time I phoned the MAU with a concern I was always told to come in for a check and never shrugged off.

The consultants, nurses, doctors, health care workers, even the domestics and students were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much for them. They made me feel so comfortable and safe (twins is scary) and explained everything over and over until I understood. Always on hand to help, answer questions and reassure me.

I had a few hospital stays throughout my pregnancy and I never felt like I was a burden.

The care I received (along with my partner and twins) was absolutely amazing.

I feel extremely lucky with the care I received and I can’t praise them enough.

Dear Tiny twins,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback and congratulations to you and your partner on having twins, no doubt you both have your hands extremely full with such a blessing.

Our wonderful team come to work every day with the hope that they can make their patients' journey a positive experience, and it is so lovely to hear back from those that they have cared for. The team will be thrilled to hear that you felt so safe and well cared for during what must have been not only a wonderful time but also a scary time for you both.

I hoe your family is thriving and I send my best wishes to you all. Thank you again for taking the time to share this post, it will mean so much to the team.

Kind Regards

Alexis

Dear Tiny Twins, thank you for taking the time to send such fabulous feedback to our whole team, especially when I suspect you won't have much spare time at the moment!!

I will pass this onto our team; we really appreciate such lovely feedback and I know they will be delighted to hear that the hard work they do everyday has such positive impact.

Best Wishes

Nicola
