I'm not nervous, just a little. I got the final report in the ward after my hysterectomy. When I got home, I read the letter.
It said that the surgical admission screening and assessment revealed the possibility of dementia, okay, I haven't been feeling well lately. But let's not confuse autism with dementia. I know the symptoms are similar. I understand what dementia means. I work in a special home where residents with dementia and many other problems live.
I also know that I have generalized anxiety + I'm also autistic. But students are also still learning about dementia, I just got my new certificate, I'm sick but I have to keep up with what I'm studying because of my job when I go back to work. My problem was that I asked for the word dementia to be removed from this letter somehow, but I didn't get any response at all.
The other problem was that they let me go home with a catheter. After I took out the catheter, I was already panicking that my bladder was cramping again. They said they tested my urine and there was no infection. I suffered for 4 days and asked for a home visit. It turned out there was an infection, I was given antibiotics, I still have to take them and if it doesn't get better I can go back to the family doctor. I'm still using the trimethoprim tablet now.
I don't blame anyone and it's mainly because of the catheter, if they had examined me better in the hospital, then maybe I would have been better. So that's all that happened.
The hysterectomy went well, there was minimal pain. Thank you very much for that, I expected it to be worse, I was pleasantly disappointed. I thought I would be very sick, but I'm fine, including the infection, I feel great.
