Mum's cancer care at the Freeman hospital has been exceptional, everyone is so quick to complain but the medics and nurses have been exceptional with my mum and our family and deserve the recognition for the amazing work they do.
The dedication, care and compassion we have been shown as a family we can never repay and they have made the most difficult time of our lives a little bit easier. They have shown person centred care in its highest form. There are so many people to mention but our biggest thanks goes to Tony and Tom for been by mums side every step of the way, Rosie and Sam for supporting mum during her chemo and way beyond and Sarah, Laura and Remee and the nursing team on ward 35 for everything they have done for us all.
We can never express our gratitude to you all enough for taking away some of the fear, the relationship you built with mum and for seeing her as the amazing person she is, at no time did she feel like just another patient because of the humility you showed.
I also want to personally thank Carly for being our voice and advocate when we needed advice/guidance and held up that extra bit when it all got tough. You knew what I/we needed (especially me) when I didn’t know myself.
A patient journey that is a credit to the Trust and a team that are worth their weight in gold.
Thank You all x
