About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I recently took my relative to an outpatient urology appointment to see the Advanced Clinical Nurse specialist. My relative has had a rough week health wise and we have seen a general decline.

The nurse took time to properly examine him and speak with us. She then spoke with her consultant urologist and a plan was made to admit him to the clinical assessment unit under the medics.

We were then triaged accordingly in CAU with bloods, cannula and ECG done. My relative was commenced on IV fluids, oxygen and IV antibiotics with the appropriate investigations requested, and a bed was then found for my relative.

Thanks again to all the staff in both urology outpatients and clinical assessment unit for looking after him and acting so quickly.
