"The staff have been excellent throughout"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Outpatient Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My little one chapped his finger in the hinge of the door, and it broke the bone in his finger and his finger was nearly hanging off, we took him to crosshouse hospital in Kilmarnock, and they assessed him and we brought him to sick kids in govan.

The staff have been excellent throughout his operation and recovery.

Hello Margaret65

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. I can only imagine how frightening it must have been to see your little one in such pain, what a traumatic moment for you all.

It’s reassuring to hear that the care you received, from the initial assessment at Cross house Hospital to the treatment and recovery at the Royal Hospital for Children, was excellent throughout. Our teams work incredibly hard to provide compassionate and skilled care, and your kind words will mean a great deal to them.

I’ll make sure your feedback is passed on to the staff involved, they’ll be so pleased to know they made a difference during such a difficult time.

Wishing your child a smooth and full recovery, and sending warm thoughts to you and your family.

With best wishes,
Mhairi Stirrat
