"Anxiety and panic attacks"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

I have suffered with anxiety and panic attacks for years, but it was exacerbated when I was called for Jury Service for the first time last year. This sent me into overwhelming panic mode.

This caused unimaginable feelings of fear of feeling trapped within a Courtroom setting. I did not want to go the road of medication as I felt it would just mask the problem. My GP advised a self referral to inclusion Thurrock. I plucked up the courage to contact them and started therapy sessions with one of their high intensity therapy workers, Ben.

Ben put my fears into perspective with comprehensive talking therapy. Through that talking therapy and Ben explaining in much detail, I was able to identify my trigger points and thought patterns which had led me to experience my panic attacks and anxiety. Once I could see how these thought processes created my panic attacks I have been able to put in practice what I have learnt and have a better understanding of why they happen.

This Service has been invaluable to me and has made a huge difference to my every day life.

Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience with Inclusion Thurrock talking therapies. We are honoured to have been a part of your healing process.

It takes real courage to face overwhelming anxiety and panic, and I am pleased to know you reached out for support when things became difficult.

It is encouraging to hear that Ben was able to help you make sense of your experiences and guide you through understanding your triggers and thought patterns. Gaining that kind of understanding can really help you feel more in control, and it is wonderful to know that you have been able to put those learnings into practice in your daily life.

Your decision to seek help and commit to therapy, especially during such a challenging time, is inspiring. I am so pleased to hear that the service has made a meaningful difference for you.

I will certainly share your kind words with Ben as I am sure he will appreciate it.

We hope that you feedback will encourage others facing similar difficulties to seek help.
