"An endoscopy procedure"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I had to go for an endoscopy procedure yet again. It's not a very pleasant experience, I call it 8 minutes of hell. I got the procedure done in the South West Acute Hospital , Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh and all I can say is the staff made an unpleasant experience bearable.

From start to finish they helped me not to stress about it and during the cold turkey procedure, I took no spray or anaesthetic, they calmed me down and thankfully got me through it.

Being a medical person is no easy job and the NHS are totally underrated by the majority of us. I know wealth should not determine health but over the past 50+ years I feel we have let this happen.

The NHS was a great 20th century concept so let us keep it great for one and all!
