"Excellent care in Emergency Department"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Bringing my son in due to an eye infection, he received excellent and timely care from the doctor (Dr Emma) and nursing staff (triage nurse Karen, and nurses Nicole and Connor) in UHD peads area.

From triage it was a very good and patient centred experience with my son having Autism and sensory issues, they were able to provide him with a quieter part of the area to sit and wait. When needing to get his contact lens out due to an eye infection they showed professionalism, care and compassion which helped it being a quick procedure to reduce the time of which my son was destressed.

All are a credit to the department

Hi HTM92,

Thank you so much for your kind feedback regarding your recent visit to the Ulster ED Paediatric area.

Its lovely to hear that Dr Emma and Nurses Karen, Nicole and Connor provided such excellent and compassionate care, especially supporting yours son`s individual needs in such a professional way. I am so pleased they were able to make a potentially distressing experience a little easier for you both.

I will make sure your kind words are passed on and know they will very much appreciate them.

Hoping your son is recovering well from his eye infection.

Best wishes,

Leanne
