"Utter rubbish for so called urgent care"

I have a throat lump that has appeared suddenly. Initially I was seen quickly by my GP, they gave me a diagnosis but importantly also referred me for an urgent scan in the community. This was within 2 weeks.

Since then it's been a clown show. The ultrasound results were not sent to the GP. I was told at the USS that the initial diagnosis was wrong so knew it was important to follow up. I contacted the GP and they said it could take a few days so waited patiently for a week. Nothing happened. I had to chase and then only then after GP chased were they received. I then had an appt with GP to review. The GP seemed concerned and said they would do an urgent referral.

I waited another week and then had an appt at St Peters. Useless. The guy before me had waited an hour and they didn’t know why he was there. This delayed everyone else. I finally went in and the consultant could not find the USS results. I knew they were on my record but couldn’t get to them on the app. The consultant dismissed it and said they would do their own scan anyway.

So it was a complete waste of money and everyone's time. I’d spent time away from work. It took an hour to get there and back and I paid for parking. All to be told that I’d need to wait and repeat all that again. And still not know what was going on. Utter rubbish for so called urgent care.
