"Weren't interested in me as a patient"

I waited 4 years to get an appointment. Upon getting my appointment I waited an hour which I didn’t mind as my experience of rheumatology in the past has been very thorough.

But my appointment was awful. I have had many problems with various joints. They only looked at my hands and inside of my mouth. They only looked to see if I had inflammatory arthritis associated with my Crohn’s disease. Said I didn’t. Although I have been diagnosed with it years ago by rheumatology, my hands weren’t  inflamed at the appointment. They did diagnose osteoarthritis in my hands on examination and neck from seeing my neck mri. None of my other joints were even looked at. They then said the neurologist said my whole body pain was caused by trigeminal neuralgia?! Trigeminal neuralgia affects one side of head and face not the whole body or bone and muscle pain in any other areas. They appeared to only be interested if my treatment for my IBD had to be changed. Weren’t interested in me as a patient or my problems.

Left me in limbo. Currently saving to try and get private medical help.
