"Attitude from the staff"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / General Medicine (Lomond Ward)

(as a service user),

In hospital for several weeks and the attitude of some members of staff was utterly disgraceful.

The language, the way I was spoken too, was not in a professional manner. People working in a professional role should treat patients they would want to be treated. They need to teach manners.

Dear Waterloo

We are very sorry to hear that during your hospital stay, you encountered behaviour from some staff members that was not in keeping with the standards we expect. The way patients are spoken to and treated should always reflect compassion, respect, and professionalism. We apologise that this was not your experience.

Please be assured that your feedback will be shared with the Senior Management Team and staff so that it can be addressed appropriately. We are committed to learning from this and ensuring that all staff understand the importance of respectful communication and the impact it has on patient wellbeing.

Thank you

Nicole
