Whenever I have contacted this surgery, the receptionist has seemed prickly, defensive, unhelpful and ready to take offense from the start of any conversation. I always get off the phone with my heart racing, feeling dreadful. Do they receive any training at all? A simple ' I don't know' or' I'm sorry' wouldn't lessen them in our eyes and would be more palatable than the attitude I have experienced.
Also just found out that one needs to have one's phone on from 9 till 4.30 - with no certainty of receiving a call any particular day - if I want a medication review. Been 2 days now. If I'm not available a particular day, well then it's apparently my own fault.
