"Excellent experience"

My partner arrived at A&E with a serious hernia of the bowel. The A&E staff - specifically Geraldine (nurse), Annelie (doctor) and Eimear (surgeon) - were fantastic at managing my partner's pain, explaining clearly what was happening, keeping us updated and checking on me while I was upset. He ended up being admitted and stayed in a CAU ward for 4 days. The CAU ward staff were phenomenal - specifically Mary, Amy and Georgina. We also wanted to thank 2 young female doctors who did the rounds on Monday morning and got my partner ready for discharge, and Pauline who was involved in the surgery. Although a hernia repair is something the hospital staff may see regularly, it was incredibly scary and upsetting for myself, my partner and the wider family, so we really want to show our gratitude and appreciation for all of the staff of the Belford (we only have some of the names). Thank you again and again for all you do!
