"Not happy with this service at all"

About: Sexual Health Services - North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I went to the clinic for what I thought was removal and replacement. I fell and bent the nexplannon, upon speaking to a receptionist she advised me to get it replaced, so I tried to. Turned up to the nurse telling me it’s fine so I carried on and left the building. Later that day I was still worried and spoke to a family member that told me to look on NHS website. Did so, I was told that it should’ve been removed and replaced and also advice was the same when speaking to other medical professionals. Not happy with this service at all!

Dear orangepq98,

I am really sorry to read you are not happy with our service. It would be useful to discuss this further with you if you would email leanne.fowler@mpft.nhs.uk with your name and date of birth so I can access your record and review this further for you. In these scenarios an appropriate assessment by a clinician is essential. You state this happened, however if you still feel your implant is not as it should be please return to one of our walk in clinics at your convenience, and you can then be assessed further.

Kind regards

Leanne Fowler
