"Total replacement of my left hip"

At the 3rd attempt of trying to get my left hip totally replaced, I was finally admitted to the National Treatment Centre - Fife Orthopaedics. Where upon meeting Aileen at the reception and the rest of the staff prior to my operation, and then being introduced to Mark who is Mr Howard’s assistant and his staff who were conducting my operation, I was made to feel very relaxed with the procedure that was going to be carried out.

After 1 hour surgery or less, I was taken to the recovery room and the down to the ward. My congratulations go out to all the staff including Amy, Byron, Mandy, Lauren, Karen, Evelyn and other members of staff who carried out an excellent package for my recovery. It is a team that has no ‘I’ in it but work wonderfully together, they are a credit to the NHS and Mr Howard.
