"Though a very difficult time I never felt alone"

I found a lump and was referred to the breast clinic. I was diagnosed at clinic following mammogram. Further tests and scans were carried out to gather more information. Everyone involved was very kind, patient and thoughtful. Explanations were given throughout and time was allowed for questions. It all happened so quickly it felt somewhat surreal.

It was a very anxious time awaiting definitive results.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and required a mastectomy. All options were thoroughly explained and time given to make decisions about surgery and possible treatments.

Though a very difficult time I never felt alone or without someone to speak to. The whole team were amazing guiding and supporting me.
