"Radiotherapy sessions"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

I attended for 15 sessions of radiotherapy.

The staff were incredible - wonderfully compassionate and considerate. I had terrible anxiety as I've had disfiguring surgery to my breast.

No one had told me I'd have only a paper towel to preserve my modesty when walking to the table and this caused me to become very, very upset at the first session. At subsequent sessions I wore a vest top until I was positioned on table and this helped my anxiety.  It would have been helpful to know about this in advance.

Car parking was a nightmare!  So many people parked in the Radiotherapy spaces  for hours and in blue badge spaces without a badge!
