I had a rheumatology appointment today at Withington Community Hospital and it was genuinely a wonderful experience. Every member of staff my partner and I interacted with was friendly, helpful and so kind. I left feeling as though a huge weight had been lifted. As a young (ish) person with chronic illness I have struggled for over a decade to be taken seriously and listened to, so to finally be so validated and cared for today has meant the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, truly.
