"Lack of nursing care"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Gynaecology Medway Maritime Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

After having a hysterectomy and bladder surgery, my catheter was removed the following morning at 6am. After drinking loads and not being able to pass urine. I told my nurse after 4 hrs, told to drink more.

Long story short after 10 hrs of expressing my concerns and being in excruciating pain a catheter was put back. I was ignored and not listened to.

I am retired now, but I was working in healthcare in the community. Totally disgusted with the level of care on this ward.
