I require to see my GP.
I'm finding the new booking system to be ridiculous, having to complete a form online for them to then triage whether an appointment is required or not.
I'm finding the system is clunky, slow and using it increases my anxiety levels as the human contact has been completely removed and no one has got back to me in a reasonable length of time after the request has been made.
I am currently in need of seeing a doctor yet I’m having to wait as my own doctor can take up to 24hrs to triage my appointment request with them. Meanwhile I am suffering from an unknown painful lump in my back, powerless to do anything other but to go to use the busy A&E services.
I find this system is a shambles, and it is upsetting me that a service I pay towards is seemingly far from functional now.
Before all this new booking system, I found it really difficult to get an appointment ... now I'm finding it not only difficult but almost impossible to be seen by a doctor when needed.
It is upsetting (as a patient) to see this happening in the NHS. I believe whoever thought this new system was a good idea needs to think again.
I have wasted my time on the phone explaining to the reception how the app was playing up and was unable to make the request, and the time it took them to explain and offer reasons as to why they could they not have booked me in over the phone?
Im finding this the most ridiculous system ever implemented and once again, I'm left feeling vulnerable and not cared for.
