"I am so angry at the lack of care"

About: Airdrie Locality / Airdrie Community Nursing Team

(as a relative),

My dad has been on weekly injections since 2013 and in this time my mum has had to contact the community nursing team on a few occasions as he had not been seen.

The last time we had to call the hub and be informed he wasn't on the list. My mum questioned this as should be seen weekly, informed unsure why happened.

When the nurse did appear, they blamed the system and that new nurses had started. Surely in this day and age there is a way someone who is on weekly medication can be flagged.

Not only this, my biggest concern is that my dad was due to have bloods obtained as per the GP system. No nurse seemed to know what we were talking about so when I questioned the GP practice, I was informed that the blood request had been placed and a referral made to the Community Nursing team.

My dad is unwell and we are unable to have a plan if the bloods are not obtained. I am so angry at the lack of care from Airdrie Community Health Nurses.

I feel an investigation needs to be started into this complaint and someone needs to be held accountable, as per the NMC Code of Conduct.
