(as the patient),

I attended A&E in SWAH in August and I wanted to share my positive experience. The staff were so attentive to me and made me feel comfortable during my time there. Despite being an anxious patient when it comes to needles and blood, the nurse taking my blood and inserting the cannula was very patient and kept me comfortable. I'm sorry I don't recall everyone's name but the doctor, nurses and radiographer were all so great. Erin and Niamh (student nurse) were the nurses looking after me and they were wonderful. Chloe did my CT and kept me calm throughout. Thank you for looking after me so well.

Dear lovezt87

My name is John Kerr, an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) based in the Emergency Department (ED) at the SWAH. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts and positive experiences on the Care Opinion platform, in relation to an episode of care you received. I shall be responding on behalf of the ED, giving the other departments time to respond in due course.

We appreciate how stressful an environment the ED can be, compounded by the very fact that you are also unwell or injured. We are pleased to read, that as a team and individually by Erin and Niamh, we acknowledged this and created a positive experience for you.

I shall ensure that all members of the ED team are made aware of your post, ensuring that Erin and Niamh are personally acknowledged for the role they played in your care.
