"Tooth cracked, emergency treatment required."

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln Urgent Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

Tooth cracked, emergency treatment required. Unable to get any dentist appointment for emergency treatment unless I subscribed to private dental care. My NHS dentist couldn't get me looked at for 3 weeks! Unless I want to go private.

UTC was very professional. I was seen very quickly, blood test and tooth x-ray taken. Then given over to A&E. This were the problems started.  A&E seem to taken names multiple times as they seemed to have lost control on who needs attention. The layout of A&E needs to completely revamped, as seating was sparse and badly laid out. Some of the A&E staff it was near impossible to understand what they are saying. I took a day for me to get put on a ward, was in a&e overnight, from 20:45pm to 17:30pm the following evening when I was moved to a ward.

Dear plusgy99

We are disappointed to read this feedback in relation to the this attendance. Regular checks of patient names are a safety feature to ensure all patients are being treated. Feedback will be taken from this concern in relation to the layout.

Kind regards,

Tasha
