I was referred to employment support by my nurse after struggling to find work for over 3 years. I faced constant rejections leaving me feeling hopeless and I was on the verge of giving up until my meeting with Raheem.
Raheem motivated me helped rebuild my confidence and reassured me that I was capable of finding employment. Working together and with each appointment I felt my confidence grow. I really looked forward to our meetings. I was supported with a CV and covering letter and was guided through job applications and interview preparations. I began receiving feedback from employers and was invited to interviews. Even though I didn't land a job straight away, Raheem was always there to lift me up and help me stay focused on the positives. He is a kind and caring young man who encouraged me to build on my skills and confidence and helped me secure a volunteer role with a local charity that supports people seeking advice on benefits. This opportunity gave me structure helped me connect with others and allowed me to contribute to office tasks and work alongside advisors.
With the support that I have received from Raheem I am now employed at a chemist and have been working there for over 6 months. It's a fantastic environment where I feel valued by my managers and colleagues and after such a long time out of work this role feels like the perfect fit. I am truly grateful for the support I received which has made a real difference in my life.
"Supportive and encouraging"
