(as the patient),

I fell in my bedroom whilst reaching for the en-suite door. Losing my grip on the door handle, resulted in me being flung against the wardrobe doors' wooden knobs and then crashing to the hard floor on my left hip. I was unable to make anyone hear until 2 hours later when my son found me, and phoned 999. It was another hour before the ambulance arrived.

Once at hospital, after very careful driving by the paramedic, I was soon assigned to a ward and the following day, had a partial hip replacement. Excellent treatment in hospital by everyone involved in my care. I cannot speak too highly of all the help I have received.
