"Waiting for scan"

My husband's a patient with NHS Lanarkshire has been waiting for at least two and a half years on surgery for his prostate. He was referred to Forth Valley for a Holep procedure in August 2024. Unfortunately there is a long waiting list of two years. NHS Lanarkshire can offer another procedure but my husband needs a CT scan and an MRI done. The CT scan was done within a couple of weeks but we are still waiting for the MRI after at least eight weeks. Due to the enlarged prostate my husband has to self catheterise this has also caused numerous UTIs. My husband although he is in his mid-70s is a fit man and this is affecting his quality of life and his mental health.
