The best gynaecology appointment of my life!

I was very anxious as I'd had a painful hysteroscopy some years previously which left me bleeding for several days afterwards and I had made up my mind to refuse another.  

(Perhaps I should have complained here about what I'd been through previously?)

Dr Mathew took time to explain to me about my stenosed cervix, how the procedure would work, drawing a diagram. He carried out a vaginal scan explaining what was showing on the screen. He answered all my questions patiently and informatively. As it turned out hysteroscopy was unnecessary.  He fitted me with a ring pessary to relieve my prolapse and also pointed out the estradiol tablets I'd been using (for the last two years!) hadn't been dissolving. Perhaps GP's should check for this in future?  So I now have a cream on prescription.  

I came away happy and relieved that so many issues had been dealt with in one short appointment.  A* to the One Stop Gynaecology Clinic!

i am the senior charge nurse within clinic f at stobhill hospital ach.this clinic is dedicated to womens health within gynaecology .Patients attend for a variety of different gynaecological issues where a diagnosis can be made and further treatments given.I also manage a group of 15 nurses in order for them to safely provide the highest and most up to date care for each patient
