After feeling unwell for a few days I attended OOH on Wednesday with flu symptoms and photophobia, was seen quickly and given medication to treat.
I had to re attend on the Thursday, in which I was sent to ED.
I was triaged by Nurse Maggie, who was very professional and compassionate explaining my vital signs as they were slightly off and kept me calm. Maggie then done my bloods and ECG in which she still remained very professional and made me feel comfortable.
Due to my vital signs I was brought to a side room, Michael was my nurse here and he explained everything that he was doing (very efficient when taking more bloods..) and explained my blood results when they had came back. He is an exceptional nurse with great mannerism. All the nursing team looking after me in ED were fantastic, the day staff Siobhan and Laura were very caring and kept me in good spirits having a laugh while staying very professional, especially with the massive pressures ED staff are under.
The ED Dr was brilliant and talked me through all possible causes and diagnosis.
The medical Dr doing my LP took her time and again kept me at ease and I was very nervous getting this procedure done.
The girls in amu were also brilliant and kept me on top of all my pain and antibiotics.
Thank you for my care.
