"Lack of amenities"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Outpatients

(as a service user),

Very thankful to be seen recently in clinic 5 AAH, great to be part of a mega clinic to assess me for surgery (nearly 5 years waiting) nurses very friendly doctor excellent.

The only downfall, could someone tell me why there are no working TV to keep patients occupied while they are waiting, would be a great distraction when you are already nervous.

Hello Satsit75,

I am the Sister in Outpatients Department, level B. Thank you for taking time to post your story of your experience. Thank you for advising of your positive experiences with both nurses and doctors. It is lovely for our staff to receive this feedback. I hope that your appointment went well after waiting this length of time.

With regards to lack of working TV's thank you for also providing this feedback as helps us to understand all aspects of the patient experience. The TV screens in main OPD, level B, are screens for self check in service which we used prior to encompass epic system being implemented. Unfortunately they haven't been compatible with the new system.

I will discuss this further with my leads when we look at patient experience.

Best wishes

Carol
