"I expected the team to be more friendly and compassionate"

About: Maternity care / Gynae Rapid Access Clinic (GRACE)

(as a service user),

I attended the recurrent miscarriage clinic recently after several traumatic miscarriages. This is an extremely difficult time for us as a family. I expected the team in this clinic to be a lot more friendly and compassionate but what I got was the opposite. I felt some members of the team were cold & inconsiderate even though they knew my experience & what I had been through. Kindness and compassion go a long way in the health service. One staff member was particularly cold and unhelpful in my journey. I don’t want any other women to be made to feel the way I do, this is why I’m giving feedback. I don’t like to complain but I care about other people’s experience. This staff member needs addressing please.
