I attended for a shingles vaccine. I had to wait and the queue was forming a very long line, I got there early and was waiting for at least 30 minutes before the door was opened.
I was there with a person who arrived a little before me, we could see that they were setting up but when we went in there was only 2 stations, so were they having a cuppa or problems setting the 2 computers up.
I asked who I believed was a doctor about how to get the shingles injection as the other doctor I asked previously said I just need to book in with the receptionist, but today I was told I would have to wait until I was 71. But that would be 4 years away, what happens if I was to get it again.
I am still suffering with pains in my back from April this year but this is the 3rd time of having it. I was not given a chance when I was 65 to get the shingles vaccine. But the NHS website states you can have it anytime if you missed it. Or is it the cost to the surgery that’s why it is not being offered?
