"Fantastic staff at dental hospital"

About: Fife Community Services / Dental Service

(as a relative),

My adult daughter, who has complex additional needs and is non verbal, had a GA to explore pain in her mouth, resulting in extraction of 2 teeth and couple of fillings.

It had been a 3 week journey to get to the procedure.

We are so grateful to everyone who was involved in her care. From the dentist who did a home visit, to all the staff who were on duty on the day. I felt listened to and supported when explaining what my daughter could and couldn't manage for what was a highly traumatic experience for her.

I was kept up to date at all times and felt everyone showed my daughter respect throughout.

She is making a slow and steady recovery, it seems that the problem which was based purely on guesswork as she cannot tell us, has been resolved.

Apologies for not remembering anyone's name to mention!

Many thanks.

Good Morning, Mabeline

The staff at Fife Community Dental Clinic and indeed the Public Dental Service try to ensure that every patient and family member is treated with dignity and respect.

It is lovely to hear a great example of patient focused care.

I will pass on your comments to the staff who were involved with your daughter and wish her well in her recovery.

Best Wishes

Ashley
