"The water birth of my dreams"

I just want to thank everyone at Exeter birth centre for enabling me to have the water birth of my dreams and providing me with such good care in the first 24 hours after birth.

During the birth and a post-birth operation to deliver my placenta, I felt supported and cared for without. I had excellent continuity of care from my midwife who delivered my baby and then took me round to theatre and stayed with me in theatre and recovery. All staff explained everything clearly and were so kind and compassionate.

After recovery I was taken back to the ward, staff were quick to respond to my buzzer and offer help and support. They ensured I was breastfeeding and gave me advice and support.

Thank you everyone! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the birth centre to anyone!
