"Left alone and frightened"

About: Community Services / Rotherham Mental Health Hospital Liaison

(as a parent/guardian),

Have been getting dentist treatment and adult services within community and hospital and getting emergency support over a prolonged time and been sent from one place to another. Not having the correct support and put in a room with 2 sofas and left alone and frightened and told treatment can be whenever? Poor service for people with neurodivergence. Young man in severe pain told to go A&E for emergency treatment and then told to wait in a room and sat waiting in severe sensory pain and told to wait for over an hour and no one would listen.

Hi Pendog,

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I am the Team Manager of the Rotherham Hospital Liaison Mental Health Team. We always want people to feel listen too and supported when seeing the team.

We always aim to provide people with a person centred approach with their care.

If you want to call me on 03000 215 652, I am more than happy to hear more about your experience and if we can provide any further support,

Thanks

Luke
